Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesRomans 14The funny one is you. You say you agree with this and then deny that the definition of clean and unclean foods is found in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. In other words the only way you can determine what is unclean is to appeal to the Hebrew's dietary laws. Your interpretation deals with "herbs" vs. "meats", which is a personal interpretation. What do you mean you are trying to build an allegiance? If you mean you are trying to establish your own interpretations as Biblical truth then what you need to do is study in order to gain understanding and not simply interpret what you think the Bible teaches. If you don't know that "pulse" can mean seed pods then how do you know that Daniel refused to eat meat and ate only vegatables since Daniel 1 states Daniel refused to eat the king's rich meat, which does not preclude Daniel ate meat allowed by the Law. You are interpreting this to mean what you want it to mean. Well, lets see what you posted: I get the idea you believe Daniel was a vegan based on what you posted. Even if you add dairy products to your diet, a vegetarian must eat other foods that contain trace minerals not found in vegetables and dairy products to live a healthy life. I am not putting words in your mouth I am taking what you post at face value and what you have posted is that Daniel refused to eat meat and since the account does not mention diary and based on what we know concerning nutrition we can understand the Daniel could not have been a strict vegetarian (vegan) and be healthier than those who ate rich meats, which can lead to obesity and other health problems. |
