Homosexual Discussion ForumLeviticus.First of all I need to caution you about quoting sources that you do not link to, which violates our Forum Rules. You have appealed to Origen as a valid source of God's truth by pulling less than one paragraph of one treatise out of context. As to what you quoted on the Muslim thread, what Origen writes is used by Catholicism to support their heretical doctrine of purgatory. Origen pulled what he wanted to pull from Psalm 78 and added his personal interpretation. You totally missed my point concerning Leviticus 18 and 1 Corinthians 5. Paul judged a man who had his father’s wife (he did not write he had his mother). In other words Paul is using God’s revealed truth to judge the actions of a professed Christian. Paul further writes in 1 Corinthians 5 that Christians have not only the right but the obligation to judge the actions of those who profess to be Christians using God’s truth as their guide. However, your understanding denies your professed faith in God since your understanding attempts to void God's revealed truth. God has informed us that those who engage in sexual relationships with members of their own gender are worthy of death and He will consign those who do not overcome these desires to the lake of fire. Jesus will not void this truth by interceding on your behalf because you choose to violate this precept. BTW, you did not answer my question concerning what Jesus uses to mediate between God and man. |
