Following is a portion of chapter 13. 3. * The angel Gabriel answered: "Arise, Jesus, and remember Abraham, who being willing to sacrifice his only-begotten son Ishmael to God, to fulfil the word of God, [when] the knife [was] not able to cut his son, offered a sheep in sacrifice at my word. Therefore, you shall [do the same], O Jesus, servant of God." Jesus answered: "Willingly, but where shall I find the lamb. I have no money, and it is not lawful to steal it." [So] the angel Gabriel showed to him a sheep, which Jesus offered in sacrifice, praising and blessing God, who is glorious for ever.

Do you honestly believe that any Jew would write that Abraham only had one "begotten son" and that son's name was Ishmael?
Bismillaah ir Rahmaan ir Rahiim. Salaam, All. Well, yes. According to what I have learned of Barnabas, and "hierophant," from reading the work's of author James Morgan Pryse. Barnabas is known as a lesser hierophant, and he would have exhorted other's to practice the virtues. So, why would he lie about a truth? Secondly, Isaac, was born after, this recorded incident; Qur'aan 37:100-112. Salaam. EssentiallyIslam
