The Demonic Locusts
και ο εκτος αγγελος εσαλπισεν και ηκουσα φωνην μιαν εκ των τεσσαρων κερατων του θυσιαστηριου του χρυσου του ενωπιον του θεου

Rev 9.13 And the sixth angel trumpeted. And I heard one voice out of the four horns of the golden altar before God,

Rev 9.14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Release the four angels, those having been bound at the great river Euphrates.
και ελυθησαν οι τεσσαρες αγγελοι οι ητοιμασμενοι εις την ωραν και ημεραν και μηνα και ενιαυτον ινα αποκτεινωσιν το τριτον των ανθρωπων

Rev 9.15 And the four angels were released, those having been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men.

Fawasatna bihi jamAAan
100.5 So on account of him we gathered in the midst of a company of the enemy.
َوَسَطْنَ = “wasatna”
“wasatna” definition:
Feminine plural. They penetrated into the midst. Pertaining to 100.5…and have put in the midst, thereby, a company of the enemy: or have divided into two halves, thereby, etc.: or have thereby become in the midst of a company of the enemy. It comes from the root “wasata”, which means he sat, or was, or became, in the middle, or midst, of the people, or company of men; or among them; he held a middle, or good, or the best, rank in regard of his grounds of pretension to respect; to be in the midst, penetrate into the midst, be good and exalted, occupy the middle position. The middle, midst, or middle part of a thing; i.e. properly, the part of which several lateral, or outer, portions are equal; as, for instance, the middle finger: but also meaning the part which is surrounded or enclosed on its several sides, although unequally: or the part that is between the two sides or extremities of a thing; or the part, or point, that is between every two opposite extremities of a thing; and properly when equidistant; as, for instance, the center of a circle. It is also used as an epithet: such as signifying middle; intermediate; midway, or equidistant between the two extremities or extremes; in place or position. A mediator, or an intercessor, for the purpose of accommodation, between people, or between two persons engaged in mutual altercation or litigation, between good and bad.
فَوَسَطْن = “fa”+ “wasatna” = “Fawasatna” = So in the midst of a company of the enemy

It comes from the root “jama’a”, which means he collected; brought, or gathered, together; gathered up; assembled; congregated; mustered; drew together; or contracted; a thing; so that several parts or portions became near together; or a thing in a scattered, or dispersed state; and a number of men; to collect, gather together, assemble, unite, have connection with, resolve, connect, comprise, store. An assembly, multitude, a gathering together, crowd.

Summary of 100.5:
• John’s vision of the Demonic Locusts continues further by informing us of the great and large gathering of the Locusts and their riders
• This gathering is likened to the innumerable multitude “duo murios murios”
• 100.5, just like 100.2,100.3, & 100.4 before it, also begins with the copulative particle “fa”, which indicates a close connection between the sentences before and after it; signifying either definite cause and effect or a natural sequence of events
• Juxtaposed to “fa” is “wasatna”, which tells us of the effect “thereby become in the midst of a company of the enemy”
• The enemy being the Demonic Locusts as described in the previous ayahs
• 100.5 elaborates on what is in the midst of the enemy with the word “jamAAan”, referring to the plural gathering
• Like the innumerable multitude mentioned in Revelation, “jamAAan” carries with it the definition of “the greatest number or quantity”
• Hence the gathering is described as beyond measure in both texts
• “JamAAan” occurs only two other times in the Koran – one of these (18.99) involves the same signature blowing of a trumpet, and the gathering of people just as seen sura 100
• As in the previous ayah, 100.5 also tells us that all of this is “bihi”, or, on account of him – which is still in reference to the fallen star (i.e. angel) as detailed in Revelation, who opens the abyss with the key
• Reviewing the Koranic description offered to us regarding the Demonic Locusts, as revealed in 100.1 - 100.5, which encompasses both the Fifth and the Sixth trumpet blasts; we have the following parallels to Revelation chapter 9:
1. They were once hidden or concealed
2. They are likened to Horses prepared for war
3. The Horses have riders
4. Adorned with Fire-colored Breastplates
5. Fire issues from their mouths
6. Brimstone issues from their mouths
7. They are like a large army
8. They have female hair
9. They are in likeness to a man
10. They are in likeness to a lion
11. They rise from a pit
12. They rise up out of the smoke
13. They are a swarm of Locusts
14. They have authority to torture man
15. They have been released by the fallen star
16. They gather people
17. Their gathering is beyond number
