Several stories in the Jan 5, 2006 Tennessean are quite revealing, not so much for what they say, but for what they do not say.
(1) In Afghanistan, a headmaster of a school that taught both boys and girls was slaughtered by remnants of the Taliban, having his head removed in front of his wife and 8 children.
(2) In Iraq, a homicide bomber slipped into a funeral procession honoring a 14 year old boy killed by an assassin's bullet, killing 32 Iraqis, and wounding more than 40 others.
(3) Even though this story broke several months ago, in Korea, a biological research scientist forged his stem cell research results so that others would believe he had made stupendous progress towards using embryo stem cells to develop miraculous cures for various diseases and injuries.
What is not being said regarding the killers in Afghanistan and Iraq is that they motivated to kill others in the name of their god Allah so that Islamic caliphates can be established in these countries. The tools they are using are fear, promise of earthly rewards for the families left behind, and promise of heavenly rewards for those who carry out their bidding. According to the Taliban, educating girls is against Islam; and so also is educating boys in anything other than the Islamic religion. Would the true and living God motivate anyone to kill others as is being done in Afghanistan and Iraq?
Some stem cell researchers believe any means they use justifies the ends. Since cloned embryonic stem cells can hold the cure for treating a variety of diseases, any means, including casting honesty aside, must be used to throw wide open all experimentation with cloned embryonic stem cells. This they are willing to do because an aging and hurting world needs these miraculous cures. The only problem with this belief is that there is not a single therapeutic use proven, much less, available. The same problem lies with the theory of evolution, but you would never gather this from evolutionists who so want evolution to be true.
