ArchivedHell?I don't debate the fact that the Bible calls homosexuality a sin (although I do debate whether or not the Bible should be interpreted literally) We were talking about whether homosexuality makes sense from a secular point of view, and I would argue that it does. Anyway, I apologize if I sound too stubborn or self-righteous. I never mean to offend or overpower someone in debates, just to make them understand my point of view. Heheh, good point. But Christianity was never a meek religion, since it has a major focus on conversion. I interpret that line more to mean that those who are patient and kind in their attempts to live religiously will inherit the earth. None of us here (as far as I know) actively go out conquering and forcefully integrating cultures like the Romans did, and the Romans were probably those that the Bible was speaking against in that passage. |
