Mr. Brince wrote:It seems I hear a lot of noise these days coming from people that claim their "faith" is under attack from "those godless liberals". They claim that they are being persecuted in the USA and have adopted an air of victimhood. They point to their inability to force their beliefs into public schools, the endless attempts by our society to tolerate things they find objectionable, like homosexuality and science, and now are complaining that they can't post their religious documents in state-owned facilities.
Well, all I can say is: Call them a waaambulance!
Let's compare the "persecutions" of Christians and Homosexuals for just a second, shall we?
How many homosexual groups have picketed the funerals of Christians, rubbing salt in the wounds of already grieving family members?
How many homosexuals have you seen on the side of the road with signs full of hate for any particular group?
How many times have you heard of a group of homosexuals beating up a Christian for being Christian?
How many times has a Christian been denied employment because of his/her status as a Christian?
So, let's recap. Christians have control of many radio and TV stations/networks. The vast majority of our elected leaders are self-proclaimed Christians. Christian advertising is prevalent even during local newscasts. Christian propaganda is everywhere. Christians even make the absurd claim that our country was founded upon Christianity.
And yet we are supposed to believe that Christians, being the vast majority, are somehow persecuted by the few of us that have come to realize that God is just a metaphor for the common empathy that man feels for his fellow man?
O puleeeeeze!
