In fact, he did very little in the way of 'magic'; his fireworks are easily explained by their being simple rockets and the like, technology that's existed since the 18th century. His other feats-- encouraging the men of Gondor, casting light and the like-- could very easily be interpreted as angelic feats, given how they are depicted in the Bible and Christian literature. People are stupid. Christians are not exempt. And this argument is invalid, as it's a red herring; my post did not discuss her work. |
