Quran and Bible debateIs Jesus Creation Truly Like Unto Adams? What you do not seem to want to understand is that the Muslims who post to this board will jump on your use of the word "divine" and totally ignore the balance of your post. They are not concerned with how Jesus is as unique in human history as Adam was. Also, there are a few Muslims who post to this board who know that in Koine the vernacular use of "logos" disagrees with your interpretation of John's use of "logos" in John 1:1-18. Although "logos" can be translated "word" it connotes "reasoning" or "predetermined plan". In Greek "theos" does not differentiate between God and god. Therefore to understand if "theos" refers to the one true God or the god of this world one must put the word in context. Now, in order to understand how John used "logos" we must take all John wrote into consideration and in no Scripture does John indicate that Jesus was or is "divine" and neither do Peter, Paul, James, or Jude. |
