ArchivedWhat is Wrong With this Country?!I have no problem with the Ten Commandments being removed from court. As you said, the Constitution restricts the establishment of a state religion. Now, I personally don't have a problem with a judge having the Ten Commandments in his court, but I could understand someone believeing that it is the first step to a national religion. Also, most people would agree that a judge should not have a sign reading "Satan shall crush the God of the weak" in his court. Believe it or not, the Ten Commandments may be just as offensive to non-Christians. Then again, if you have no problem with a judge promoting Satan in hid court, then I can understand your dissapointment with the removal of the Ten Commandments. Seperation of Chruch and State is not intended to prevent a "Church of England" it is intended to prevent any national church, no matter how holy. If God him self descended and oordered the president to establish one church in the nation, it would be un-constitutional. |
