ArchivedENOUGH!!Well, only God can answer that question. But something is bound to happen. No one gets away with sin. In the Old Testament (2 Samuel 11) when a certain person named King David(maybe you heard of him) committed adultery, he would not repent of his sin. When he found out that the woman he had sex with was pregnant with his child, he came up with a plan to decieve her husband(a friend of his and a soldier of his) who was currently at war fighting for King David himself. His first plan was to take the soldier out of battle and bring him home to rest and be with his wife. When the soldier came back, it turned out that he did not go to his house to meet his wife, but rather stayed with the king and slept outside the kings dwelling place. He did not think it was a time to be with his wife while other men were fighting a battle. What honor he showed to his king and fellow soldiers. When that plan did not work, David's second plan was to have the husband drunk when he came back from fighting a second time, and get him to lay with his wife so he can think the child would be his. Well, the first part of that plan worked. He got his soldier drunk, but he did not get the soldier to lay with his wife, because on the way to his house the soldier was so drunk, he didn't make it there.(lol- God works in mysterious ways). When David found out that this plan did not work, he was furious. So he ordered a certain person to kill that soldier during war so it can look like he was killed during battle instead of a plot. Well, David's plan worked. And then he ended up marrying the soldiers wife. When they had the baby, it ended up sick and died. Finally, David came to repentance and God forave him. Before this incident, david was a godly man and a prophet of God. He had a very close relationship with God. But he still ended up reaping what he sowed. He had other children, but did not have a good relationship with some of them. One of his sons tried to sleep with his sister (David's daughter) and the family had other problems. So the point is, you never get away with sin. That is why the world is inconsistant. We are faced with times of tribulation because of the sin everyone committs daily. We are sinful creatures indeed. |
