Aineo wrote:And what is the first commandment? “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul”.
How can you accept the Decalogue and then deny the truth of:
Leviticus 18:22
22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. KJV
Leviticus 20:13
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. KJV
We find them both in the Jewish law. Since when did Christianity become a smorgasbord of pick this and discard that at the desires of God’s creation?
I personally deny much of what I have read in Leviticus, and many (most?) (all?) Christians dismiss most of the stranger rules in Leviticus as well. You do as well, at least I would wager that you do.
I particularly like Leviticus 19:27:
27 Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard.
When was the last time you cut the hair at the sides of your head? Even the women on the forum?
...or perhaps this one, which urges you to murder: from Leviticus 20:
27 A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.
I mean come on do you really think God wants you to stone Miss Cleo to death? How would you decide which rocks to use? Maybe granite would give the best bang for the buck....

Ok, I'll bite. Was it put in the DSM III based on good science, or because of widespread prejudice and fear? Discuss.
Aineo wrote:There are 4 Scriptures that label homosexuality a sin and a many more that state heterosexuality is God’s design from mankind. So you have 4 that state one truth and many others that state the best alternative.
Curious -- do you regard the entire Bible as the literal word of God? If you believe it is the literal word of God, how do you reconcile the obvious discrepancies among things as important as the creation story, or the various gospel accounts?

NAS
A commendable worldview.
Aineo wrote:The Bible labels homosexual activity, adultery, incest, lying, gossiping, etc. as abominations therefore it is not just homosexuals who are destined for the lake of fire, it is all who deny God’s truth.
Your view of God is not the God of Love that Christ indicated he is (was, will be forever). IMHO.
