ArchivedJesus a Hypocrite in the Bible???Jesus never asked God to take Him off the cross when He was about to die. Before Jesus was arrested, he prayed to the Father to remove this cup, and if there was any other way that he can go through this. Then at the end of His prayer, Jesus said, "But not my will be done, thy will be done." It was God's will that Jesus was to die. Isaiah 53:10............But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting {Him} to grief; If He would render Himself {as} a guilt offering, He will see {His} offspring, He will prolong {His} days, And the good pleasure of the LORD will prosper in His hand. God does not change His word. He planned for Jesus to die for our sins. After Jesus finished His prayer, an angel strengthened Him (Luke 22:43) so that he can continue to fulfill his mission. Isaiah 53:11-12...................As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see {it and} be satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. There's many more scriptures in Isaiah that prophesied Christ's death. And Hosea 6:2 says, "He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him." Now to get to why Jesus said, "Why have you forsaken Me." No one really knows the answer to why Jesus said that. But we all definetely know that God did not save Him just because he said that. Most would claim Jesus was quoting from Psalm 22, because Psalm 22 relates to what Jesus was going through when He was ministering. Things like, people despising Him, etc. But the only 1 who knows the answer to this question is Jesus Himself. For one to say Jesus is not the Son of God, or the one who died for our sins, just because he said that, is ludicrous. There is too much scripture to back up who Christians claim Jesus is and what His mission was than what any other religion can claim. |
