ArchivedThe Quran borrows many things from many sources.Peace OneGOD, We don't believe the entire Bible was "revealed" Many books of the Bible are written by inspired men, such as the prophets. Why do you believe in the Hadith or the Sunnah? It's Muhammed's words, yet you still believe it to be inspired by Allah. Paul gave his communities guidance; he gave them some rules to live by to keep them in order. I don't know where that's said in the Epistles, but if you showed me the passage, maybe it could be explained more in depth. FYI I did my own independant research on this. I'm not so cheap and careless as to just "Cut'n Paste" You're right, but if you wanted to join God's covenant in the old days, you had to become Jewish. There were Ishmaelites, Edomites, Persians, Chaldeans, etc that were included in God's old covenant when they became Jewish. Now God has fulfilled the Old Testament through Jesus Christ. With Jesus Christ all people had to do was believe in Him and they were included in the New Covenant, they didn't have to adopt human precepts as religious laws. There aren't many paths to the same God, there's only one path to God. You can't adhere to the Zoroastrian creed and the Jewish law and end up in the same place in the end. Anyways, your answer had nothing at all to do with my post. Salman-e-Fars was a Zoroastrian high priest (dastur), and he was Muhammed's closest friend. It's not too far-fetched to suggest that Muhammed and the Quran weren't influenced by Salman. There's alot of Zoroastrian elements in Islam, that's what we can be sure of. Where is this stated as a historical fact? "maybe" is not solid enough reason to base a religion on. You base Islam on "maybes" Maybe everyone's religion is a corruption, maybe the Bible is corrupted, maybe Jesus wasn't crucified, etc. Zoroaster's teachings are his teachings, okay. I don't believe in the Amesha Spentas, or other things from Zoroastrianism. I don't belive that God would create two seperate religions and tell them that their faith is the only true one. The Jews believed in Sheol and angels before the Captivity. Gabriel and Michael weren't Zoroastrian angels, and Sarosha and Amerdad aren't Jewish angels. These are very different faiths. Also, the earliest Zoroastrian literature on the ressurection of the dead is found in apocryphal writing after Christianity. Zoroaster did teach about "second existence" or the "future existence" but that could just mean life in heaven, he doesn't really talk about ressurection of the dead. I covered that already, other people had to be Jewish, but they didn't have to be Israelites to be included in this covenant. It's a very different concept. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that these Biblical stories were common stories in circulation. You don't need a Bible to know the story of Noah's ark.Muhammed spoke to enough Jews at caravan stops to learn about their laws and stuff. The way the Quran tells the Noah's Ark narrative--I could have written that! The Quran contains nothing that men didn't already know! And why does the Quran contain common myths about jinn and seven heavens and other things found in heretical Jewish, Christian, and Zoroastrian apocrypal texts? Clearly the Quran is a forgery. Keep denying it man, you prove how led astray you are. Jesus never spoke fron the cradle or make little birds from clay either, all myths. There are many issues here that have not been addressed. Heretical apocryphal books aren't "previous revelations" The Quiran is a forgery from well-known stories and myths of Arabia, but a wonderful piece of Arabian literature nonetheless. |
