ArchivedThe Quran borrows many things from many sources.Peace OneGOD, Yes, inspired word of God. Paul was God's holy apostle and the Holy Spirit was on him. It's good we agree on something. Obviously, but do you understand what I mean't? I don't believe that! have you been to 7th century Mecca? It was a major trading city! It certainly had reasonable population of Jews, Christians, Sabeans, Magians, and pagans. Maybe they were not significant populations as compared to Yathreb or Najran, but there were enough for Muhammed to have learned extensively about their religions. Muhammed was a brilliant and pious man who likely had a desire to learn about other religions. First of all, that doesn't matter for a second. You can know tales and stories without reading them!!! I haven't found a site that gives a date for the Arabic Infancy Gospels, so I can't debate that with you. Likely it was written in Muhammed's time, but that's irrelevant. What is relevant is this: the Quran contains some little stories also found in the Infancy Gospels which were circulating, whether written or just spread by mouth, in Arabia. |
