If all you look for are the negative things in any situation, you will find them, whether they really exist or not.
I mean really. I didn't read everything you said word for word, but it sounds a whole lot like the kinda stuff you see in tabloids. I'm talking about the thing where Mels left hand = witchcraft, and all that other stuff. I like to refer to them as "coincidences". Like the one that said the world was gonna end in 1999, because you remove the "1" and flip the number, you have "666". And I think there's another one about the second day of the second month in the year 2002. Probably many more.
Also, I don't think Hollywood had much to do with this film. Not one part of it was even filmed in the US, and the whole thing was funded by Mel Gibson. He didn't even want English subtitles originally, but they twisted his arm about it (which I'm thankful for).
As far as the violence of the film, in my opinion, it's a great tool for those who need visual aids to get their attention, and to stop and think "My God, they truly tortured him to death, and he did it for me." I'm not gonna lie to those who haven't seen it, it's brutal to watch. I gripped my seat. It's the most accurate version of his crucifixion out there. You almost feel like you're really there seeing it happen to the real Christ. Wanting his pain to end, but they just won't stop torturing him.
Well I can probably think of a thousand more things to say, but I'm tired. Until next time.
