Christian/Muslim ThreadsWho is the last and greatest prophet?Jesus said," And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? " Matthew 27:46 The book of Psalms writes: Psalms 22:1 - My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? Jesus spoke about how He must be crucified and be raised again the third day, He also mentioned how Judas the backstabber would betray Him. Him{JESUS}knowing full well these events, surely must have known that He would have said Himself," My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? " My point is that He said it anyways! The reason why He said it and the reason why the authors who wrote those very words mention it in the Gospels CLEARLY is what God is trying to say to all of humanity is that, He loved the world SO MUCH, that there is no other way to reconcile man with God without Jesus bearing the sins of all, and that the Son MUST be crucified for our sins, no other way. If you look at scripture carefully:Mark 14:36 - And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. This is a clear demonstration that the LOVE, MERCY AND GRACE OF GOD Surpasses the boundaries or possibility. And a clear demonstration of How great His Love is for this world. God Bless! |
