Catholicism is far from Christian, however some Catholics are Christians.
Claiming a saving faith in Christ and actually having a saving faith in Christ as not the same.
All true Catholics are Christians, wether you like it or not.
Who are you to say who is a Christian and who is not? What is your defenition of a Christian?

The Bible, not the Catholic catechism or denominational doctrine is where we find God's truth and the path to salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Bible is where we find God's truth, its also very important to have a correct and uncurrupted interpretation of that bible.
Dont forget good works.

Matthew 7:21-23
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven. 22 "Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.' NAS
Now you can twist and interpret Scripture and your ECF's to mean what you want it to mean but that does not equate to the will of our Father in heaven.
Give the above passage to your fellow Protestants who believe in OSAS.
