Now lets talk about Jesus. In not one of his scriptures did Jesus condemn homosexuals. NOT ONE! He befriended the underdog, and if a homosexual came up to him I am sure he would have embraced him and welcomed him. Jesus LOVED EVERYONE. He told us NOT TO JUDGE others.
I have a question. Where in the New Testament did Jesus ever say that it's okay for people of the same sex to become romantically and sexually involved? If He didn't have a problem with same-sex relationships, why didn't He create guidelines for those relationships, like He did for heterosexual ones? Why is it that an apostle of Christ stated that same-sex relationships are abnormal? (It's somewhere in Romans. I can never remember where!)
Leviticus 18:22 says.
'Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.
This is the word of God, spoken directly to Moses himself.
Also remember that Jesus Christ was, is and always will be sinless, righteous, holy and just. There is no way that a sinless, righteous, holy and just Deity would support something that has been identified as a sin.
And we know exactly what it's like to be sinners, because
everyone is a sinner. But just because we desire someone or something, does not mean that we should go after it. We should put God first, above all else. He is the one who created us, and He is the one who will determine whether we spend our spiritual lives with Him or in the lake of fire. In the end, He is the only One that matters.
I leave you with these words from 1 Corinthians 6.
Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (verses 9-11)
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. (Verses 18-20)
Since my conversion I've remained abstinate. And as time goes on I'm noticing that those desires are becoming more and more faint. And I'll be honest, I don't have sexual desire for women. And I don't understand all what causes one to be gay but one thing I am sure of is that there is a powerful spiritual aspect to it. That's why you, me and others affected by it feel we had no choice because the spirit behind it is stronger than what a human can resist on their own. Therefore if you are a new convert but have not yet received the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues I urge you to find a church that practices and teaches about it. Only then will you have the power to overcome. Now here are some scriptures to look up in your Bible which will increase your faith for it: Mark 16: 17,18, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4,38, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-7
It all goes back to the Fall of Man. Fortunately, God has provided us with a way to escape the penalty of sin, which is death.
Yay, God!
