Satan and the tree
I think that Satan put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of Eden. Jesus says He reproves the world of judgement because- in John 16:11- "the prince of this world is judged" and Ephesians 2:2 talks of "the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience". I don't know if these verses are about Satan but they could be. What really makes me think Satan put that tree there is when Satan approaches God in Job 1 and asks God to take away everything from Job just as Satan had everything taken away and Satan challenges God that if this happened Job would "curse thee (God) to thy (God's) face." God refuses to stoop to that but he tells Satan - Job 1:12- "all that he (Job) hath is in thy (Satan's) power- only upon himself put not forth thy hand (do anything you want except kill him)". Satan always knew he had this power- he only asked God this to try and gain favor for himself if Job did the same thing as Satan and cursed God when all was taken away from him. I think that it was Satan who put the tree of knowlege in the garden but I think God allowed him to do it because God's judgement of Satan made it unfair to Satan for Adam and Eve to be unable to challenge God. Satan wants to prove to himself that anyone else would have done the same thing he did if they had been in his shoes. Satan is in denial.
