One thing that you leave out is that Christ referred to bread as doctrine. The only thing said about His flesh is that it was the Word. So therefore, the Word is His flesh... To eat that flesh, is to eat that word. Just as He says, if you abide (live) in my word and my word abide (live) in you.
Digest the word, the seed that falls upon good ground (heart) and produces fruit. As He says, whoever drinks of this water will have springs of living water in them. He is refering to the Word. If that Word lives in you, then life will proceed from your lips (His Word). For it is the bread (doctrine) of life. I AM, the bread of life. And the Word was God (Spirit). And the words He spoke were spirit... And that Spirit (God/Word) was made flesh, which is offered for the life of the world...
I hope this is not confusing...
Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth:
it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which
I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
And the Word was made flesh...
1 Corinthians 10:17 - For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
That one bread being Christ (The Word of God)
With Love,
