ArchivedCan they be saved? :: SalvationSalvation and verse 13: Being saved is accepting Jesus as He is. Verse 11 says: When you are saved, you accept Jesus as God, and so you must accept everything the Bible says about Him as true. In Matthew 5:18-19 Jesus says: Being saved is accepting the love of God as the way you treat His children. You can never know who is saved and so a Christian should treat and love everyone as a brother or sister in Christ. The most important thing about being saved is accepting that Jesus ROSE AGAIN. Belief in Christ is belief that through Him you can be resurrected in heaven after death. Every person will die unless God intervenes and so we all know we are sinners because sin is not being as good as God. God will always be #1 so if you admit that there is a God who has power to live forever and control your eternal habitation, and you want to be happy in eternity, you will accept through faith (which includes trust and love) that the resurrection is true. If a person doesn't want the resurrection to be true they will not believe and they will not be saved. No one can be saved until they want to and are willing to believe the resurrection. After a person personally asks God/ Jesus to save them, then the person is saved because this opens up the door of communication between the believer and God and it is this asking God Himself for the free gift (holy ghost) He offers that saves the person but the person must learn about what says through the Bible because salvation is spiritual growth. The more a person understands the Bible through living by it and knowing the words of God and accepting the Bible as a letter to him/her personally out of love from God a person will begin to realize the wealth he/she has in Jesus and in God and Christianity and the Bible. When a person realizes this wealth then they are able to bear fruit that is the evidence of salvation. Being saved is being thankful for God and Jesus. If a person is taking God and Jesus for granted. We are saved THROUGH Jesus but we must work to save our own lives and learn about what God wants from us. We must work to grow spiritually and the more we grow spiritually by understanding God and why He does what He does, the happier we will be and the more we will love God, and loving God is what salvation is all about. |
