Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesOneness debateThat's actually quite simple. When God became a Man, He never stopped being God (Phil 2:5). When we understand the biblical concept of the duality in the nature of Jesus, we have no problem whatsoever, understanding verses such as the ones you've quoted. As a Man, Jesus Spoke to His God (His Creator, His Father) - As we humans, should all pray to our God (our Creator). As a Man, it should be plainly obvious He would use this terminology. The human being that was born of a mother 2000 years ago, obviously didn't pre-exist His birth (if so, what is this birth all about?). The substance and reason He is called "Son of God" did not pre-exist His birth, as it is written, "So the Holy One WILL BE CALLED 'Son of God'" "Will be called" is future tense... Trying to stay on topic... The Man (human) was speaking to the deity (the one and only Creator, who pre-existed all). Again, when we understand the biblical concept of the dual nature of Jesus, there is no problem in understanding this. People just need to remember, that the Man that we follow, had a physical body. He was real human being, that was really born of a woman 2000 years ago. |
