Religious Cults & False Prophets~ Discussions and DebatesOneness debateLiterally every reference I go to, on the internet, and here.. all come up with the same thing. "Adown" in Psalm 135:5. Psalm 130:2 however is "adonay". Every reference I go to makes the distinction between the two. But now that your argument has changed, it no longer bears it's original meaning behind the argument. Now to your next argument... the Messiah is never referred to as "God". I'm surprised you would actually make that argument, when you know full well it's not true. And you should know full well, what scripture I'm about to quote. Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given.... His name shall be called, Mighty God (el), Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" First off there is where He is referred to as "God". Second, maybe you should refine your argument to say, "The messiah is never referred to as YHWH" That's a much better argument, as He is plainly referred to as "mighty God". In your defense, this doesn't necessarily mean He is the one true God. But in light of your argument, he is called "God" as you said He's never referred to as "God". Edit: it's been fun. I've been on here all day. Time to get off, it's been a pleasure debating with you. Tomorrow, maybe we can discuss how scripture supports that Jesus is the YHWH of the old testament. |
