If the man died, so where is the salvation, the salvation was meant to be by a divine blood, the blood of the Son of God as God, if the son of man died, then the salvation isn't there.
No Omya,
This is now the crux of our discussion. Human kinds redemption did not rely on divine blood dying, but on sinless man's death. Romans 5 ( I am only quoting parts of it, but please read the entire chapter)
states it very clearly and this is the very reason Christians can know without a shadow of a doubt that they have had their sins forgiven, are unconditionally loved, and they have eternal life ahead of them.
You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this? Whilst we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, for all have sinned.... how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign i the life through the one man Christ Jesus."
You see, it was not divine blood that needed to be shed, it was human blood.. of one who was without sin and God says that "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". (Romans 3:23). God also declares that "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).
God states in His word, that "He (God) presented Him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in His blood."
Now, let me read to you from Sura 23:102,103
"Then those whose balance of good deeds is heavy, they will attain salvation. But those whose balance is light, will be those Who have lost their souls. In hell will they abide.
Everybody, believers and unbelievers have to cross a narrow bridge. Some Muslims will be saved immediately. some will fall off the bridge into hell and afterwards be released. The infidels will all fall into hell and remain there forever.
Christians KNOW that they have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. This is something Muslims will never have on this side of eternity.
Jesus Christ the God-Man was able to do, what no human being could do. Romans 5:4
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. If we have been united with Him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that this body of sin, might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Now if we die with Christ, we believe also we will live with Him. For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again. death no longer has mastery over him. The death he died, he died once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God."
I showed you in my last post that Jesus IS GOD. We worship Him as God, one of the inseparable, indissolvable, completely unified persons who make up the God Head of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. In this post I declare, that the only way mankind could find peace and forgiveness before this Holy God, was if someone died and became the sacrifice for this sin. As all were born sinners, only as God became man, yet never gave up His Deity, could this ever occur. God did this, in the God-man Christ Jesus.
Omya, your Holy Book teaches that Allah is transcendent and unknowable. One of your own scholars has said "you may not have complete transcendance and self-revelation at the same time."
Why is it that Muslims will not allow the God of the Christians that same courtesy? You have seen us struggle to explain the God Head in a way that is understandable. Is this because it is not true? No, definitely not! What is true are the words of Job to God in Job 42:3
... surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things to wonderful for me to know"
You see, words are inadequate to explain the God we believe in and love. Perhaps the thing we Christians have done wrong and which you Muslims can teach us, is that we do not need to explain the character of God.
The Bible does not try and explain the Triune Godhead. As Omega said in one of his posts recently.. The President of the United States does not announce who he is each time he speaks.. the world knows who he is. Likewise, the Bible teaches that God is!
Why can I not explain the Biblical assertion by God of the existance of Father Son and Holy Spirit. Why have I confused you enough for you to say "And sorry carol, I can't understand the trinity, even the example of the egg isn't clarifying it, and every explanation that you are giving is making it more and more obscure, the Father God raised the Son who is also God by the power of the Holy Spirit which is als God, but they are not three separate persons, they are one God.....is this english or what?1+1+1=1?????????
Maybe it's because I should never be trying to explain it in the first place. If God does not do it, then why should I? Certainly, the early church and believers today, do need to prevent the heresies that have "hounded" the true church through the ages, by attempting to show how One God, three Persons, equals One God. Yet never does God need to defend Himself like that.
The very simple assertion of the Bible in many places is that God the Father, raised God the Son(who was also fully human) in the power of God the Holy Spirit. One God, expressed in three persons.. separate in identity, yet never more than One God. 1+1+1 =1. I won't try and defend it. The Bible teaches it and I believe it.
I also believe and know that my sins are forgiven. I have no fear of hell or of damnation. Heaven for me is not a place of the type of sensual pleasures that is spoken of in Sura 88:8-16, or Sura 56:8 -38. Here is my picture of Heaven from Revelation Chapter 7.
"After this, I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no-one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne, and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands, and they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and the Lamb."
vs 15 "they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His Temple.
And He who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them. Never again will they hunger, never again will they thirst.. The sun will not beat down upon them nor any scorching heat.
For the lamb at the centre of the throne will be there shepherd. He will lead them to springs of living water and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Did you ever wonder why always the vision of the New Testament has God being worshipped and sitting on the throne of heaven, yet always the Lamb is with Him on the throne? 1+1+1=1.
