ArchivedCONTRADICTIONS IN THE QURANPeace Alpha Look Alpha, don't get all hysterical. This is what your bible says. Jesus specifically says "If ye ask any thing in my name, I will do it." If Jesus makes such a statement, he should fulfill his promise! Are trying to deliberatly miss the obvious? God clearly says that Jacob will no longer be called Jacob but Israel. Do you know what no longer means? It means forever! God is not like as humans, if we decide to change our names, we can also go back to our original names as well. However, when God supposedly gives a command that Jacob's name shall be Israel, but then a few verses down calls him Jacob again, it seems to be a "God" that can't make His mind up. Or in other words, you just don't have the answer. How does that verse give me my answer. Genesis is speaking on the Jews and Chronicles is speaking on God himself. God and the Jews are not the same, we can clearly see from our days, that the Jews do not rule from the Nile to the Euphrates as the Bible suggests. It an unfulfilled prophecy my friend. This is what verse 12 says: "When your days are over and you rest with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, who will come from your own body, and I will establish his kingdom." So you see, Alpha, the prophecy is also passed on to the next generations. This is the exact reading: "Awake, awake, O Zion, clothe yourself with strength. Put on your garments of splendor, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again." The word defiled may mean those who are ungodly, however, the word uncircumised means simply those who are not circumised. It was a practice for the Jews to be circumised, and this is what the verse is prophecising. For the rest I will return, God willing, tomorrow. Peace and Blessings be to the Believers |
