Sin is not counted against us. The understanding of sin was measured by the law. For a little sin, it would cost you a bird, for a big sin, it would cost you a calf. That is why the children of Abraham, the Jews didn't believe that it was ok for them to stop the rituals. That is why the High Priest opposed Jesus. He was breaking up the group! One can only imagine what that would mean in any religious sect; to stop something that has been written ~ appeared as ludicrous to them.
The glory of God rested upon the tabernacle, where the burnt offerings, and sin offerings were made. It was a rememberance of God and our Fathers that was put forward for us to follow until such a time that the Messiah would come and set us free.
But when he came, we who were waiting for him imagined him differently. We didn't recognize him. We had no perception of him; stories were told what he would do, how he would love and vindicate us by showing up those that did not follow the law and give honour to his name. But God intended for us to accept him out of love and submission, he came to serve us and show us how we ought to live in order to prepare us for the sanctification. His death humbled us, his life glorified us ~ his resurrection set us free. The price paid for sin is separation from God and no longer are we separated
It is all so beautiful, so intricate and yet so unacceptable among todays Christians.
We must stop fighting within ourselves, and sin...yes sin is the Christians no. 1 plug. The church has used sin down the centuries to condemn and control the nature of man.
We imagine sin only in form and matter and not spiritual. 1 John clearly states that if we confess our sins, he is faithful to forgive us and cleans us from all unrighteousness. That we cannot sin, because his seed remains in us, its impossible. Its a yes or no, believe or not believe. But we cannot be luke warm and say its good enough. For there is little power in fence sitters.
We will be accountable for our actions through faith.
Sin has been removed and replaced with his seed. When you see sin in your life, you will judge your neighbour as the same. Rather be not a judge, but a minister of good news. Look at three circles, one inside the other. The inner one is the spirit, the middle one is us, the outer one is Christ and beyond that is God...there is no logical way sin can penatrate something that God has made clean
How much more will you grow and mature in him knowing that you no longer have to deal with sin, but now through the power of the HS you are able to succeed where you once failed.
Have faith, will travel.
In God's love ~ always.
