What about your faith....what about your faith....I sin a little.....I sin a lot.... Pardon my bluntness, but I a real "to the point" kind of person.
My background, Reformed Catholic (I found what God is, not in the Catholic Church); reader; college student; bible school atendee. I chuckle to myself because I see all these questions i.e. "Why did Jesus pray to God if He knew He was going to be crucified" "What about sin" blah blah blah blah....And this comming from preachers, devouts, zealouts, etc...And I'm sure you're preaching these uncertain topics with strong heart. Let me get to my point...
If you don't know why Jesus prayed to Jesus (My God, My God, Why have Thou forsaken me...Eloi, Eloi yadayadayada), then you need to stop regurgitating what your preachers told you and really think for a minute...If Jesus is praying to God, then He, at that point is human...Oh poop, there goes the Trinity...WAIT....Do some research on a topic called "The Dark Night of the Soul". You will find that Jesus is starting to take human form (i.e. mind, body, soul, and most importantly SIN). How can someone be sacraficed for sin without taking on sin? How can sin be defeated unless sin is obtained? IT IS AT THAT POINT WHERE THE MIRACLE HAPPENS!!!! Jesus, taking on the sin of man, was crucified with sin, and then risen without sin. SEE WHERE THIS GET'S REALLY COOL AND MIND BLOWING!!!! Jesus (and sin) were defeated because Jesus died with sin, and rose without sin, therefore essentially "defeating" sin and maintainint the Trilogy!!!
Now, since that happened, what does it matter? We are all sinners, but Jesus died for sin. I recently wrote a 30 page report on hell and it's existance. I've been longwinded already, so I'll give you the short version.... Is hell eternal? NO. Why? How can an eternity of damnation just considering the infintesimal time we spend on earth. Truth is, our "small" human minds can't understand how God could forgive serial murders, serial rapists, etc.... But He can.... Hell has lost a lot of meaning through translation. The original hebrew word for hell was skeol which means a resting/cleansing place.... Hell is a place to cleans the soul before entering into heaven and is not eternal
Jesus died for our sins...that is how we are ALL saved!!!!!
