ArchivedPA officials guilty of blatant violation of First Amendment :: Re: QuestionRe: Question LindaBee2, I cannot speak for justforfun, but your question is absurd. Reason being is that no gay person I've ever known 'hates' or is bigoted against any Christain because they're 'CHRISTAIN.' Gay people simply are fighting for equal rights and acceptance within our society. And when an organized group blocks our effort at every turn to achieve such, of course their will be anger and vitriolic feelings. Further, when said group tells us that we're evil and who we are as a person is some how fundamentally flawed it's natural to fight back. I personally have never said to nor know any other gay friends who tell any Christain that their belief in a supreme being is STUPID, FLAWED or evil. I don't share the belief in a supreme being but that's my right. Many Christains are not as kind or civil in return. And many, many block ever effort that gay people try to make within our SECULAR society to achieve equal right parity within everyone. Being a 'christainphobe' is equally as absurd. If Christains would like to believe in their God and it gives them comfort to do so, good for them. However, please DO NOT push your beliefs onto me nor try to impair my ability to get equal rights. If we lived in a theoracy (thank goodness we don't) then perhaps you would be able to do such -- but since we don't, please keep your religion in Church where it belongs and if you would, no gay person would ever have any bad feelings towards Christains. |
