Science, Creation & EvolutionWhy is Academia evolutionist? There is a great deal of evidence for macroevolution, from a number of independent sorts of evidence. Perhaps we should start a new thread for that. Assumptions don't work in science. We need specific evidence. For example, we can point to the fact that genetics, biochemistry, anatomy, and the fossil record all give us very closely aligned phylogenies showing how organisms evolved. That's just one of many. I don't have the most letters, but I think that there's plenty of pride to go around in uneducated people as well. It's not confined to PhDs. That being said, there are plenty of overeducated and asinine people with doctorates who think that being a PhD or an MD make them experts on everything. Still, knowing about a subject does give one a bit of an advantage in understanding it. Maybe so. But hard work and a dedication to learn beats intelligence every time. |
