Science, Creation & EvolutionWhy is Academia evolutionist?Nothing at all. That has to do with the legality of pushing ID in public schools. The Lemon Test goes to intent. Obviously, in later life, Darwin became an agnostic, or at least (in his words) tended toward it. I have spent some time reading the correspondence, and I have yet to find that he failed to see God as creator when he wrote his book. Even in the current administration, that's been a very difficult thing to do. Scientists are notoriously difficult to control. They are, most of them, libertarian in outlook when it comes to government control of science. No scientific theory is proven. However, evolutionary theory is one of the more solid ones, because it has such a body of evidence for it. And the Gallup poll for evolution, for the first time this year, showed a majority of Americans acknowledge that humans developed from other organisms. It's slow progress, but still progress. If so, 51% of Americans are academia elitists. |
