Again this is the interpretation of said ayat:
Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her `Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah. [see 2:228]
The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause. This is the meaning of His saying.

So spit it out you think Ibn Kathir is an idiot and doesn't know what he is talking about? the 90% of islam that is sunni and the 5% that is shia that respects Ibn Kathir are also idiots and don’t know when a pre pubescent girl is being referred as opposed to a fully mature woman?
Lets see what I said:
The topic is about DIVORCE which are rulings; the subject is in regards to WOMEN. The Quran addresses Divorce in terms of WOMEN not GIRLS. Can you show me where it says in the Arabic “GIRLs” ?
Also the Quran is addressing WOMEN whom did not yet get their periods.
Also the Quran expresses Married WOMEN who did not yet get their periods in terms of Divorce which denotes one can marry a WOMAN when she has not yet gotten her period.
In Islam a female become a WOMAN when she reaches the age of PUBERTY whereas most women dont get their periods until 2,3,4 years after puberty.
It is obvious Liberate payed not attention to my post. Can some one show me in my statement where we conflicted with Ibn Katheers commentary ? One will wonder what in frog leg city is Liberate ranting about.
And lets see. In his uncontrolable rage whom cannot even have a civil discussion he runs off calling me a Liar(is this agains forun rules ?) about my own religion and then wants to till me what my books says but doesnt want a muslim to dictate to him what the the bible says:
It takes a certain typical christian arrogance to tell us our beliefs when it is clear you (Liberate) do not undertsand our Quran.

This is not what the ayat is talking about
you are an out and out liar, it is talking about females whether those that have had their periods or those that have not had their periods (the young)I have shown you two tafsirs that says it refers to the young that have not had their periods [/b][/color].....
As the audience has seen my comments above do not conflict with what those tafseers say. The problem with Liberate is he cant get out of his secularized head of a program "
young = girl - woman". Also if our audience would so kindly look below and read the context you will see the topic is about the ruling and proceedures of divorce with women, Which covers Women whom have not yet gotten their periods must also wait the Iddat period before remarrying again. Does not this infer that in our book that such women ~ ( those females whom have obtained puberty ) can be married whom have not gotten their periods yet ?
Surah 65:1-5 Attalaq ~ Divorce
[1] O Prophet! When ye do divorce women, divorce them at their prescribed periods, and count (accurately) their prescribed periods: and fear Allah your Lord: and turn them not out of their houses, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open lewdness, those are limits set by Allah: and any who transgresses the limits of Allah, does verily wrong his (own) soul: thou knowest not if perchance Allah will bring about thereafter some new situation.
[2] Thus when they fulfil their term appointed, either take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms; and take for witness two persons from among you, endued with justice, and establish the evidence (as) before Allah. Such is the admonition given to him who believes in Allah and the Last Day. And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out,
[3] And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if anyone puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish His purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion
[4] Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same) : for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
[5] That is the Command of Allah, which He has sent down to you: and if anyone fears Allah, He will remove his ills from him, and will enlarge his reward.
I rest my case here. I think everyone sees we are dealing with a person who has a poor reading comprehension level.

We already did. You want some more. Here you go.
Al-BukhariVolumn 001, Book 008, Hadith Number 465.
-----------------------------------------
Narated By 'Aisha : (The wife of the Prophet) I had seen my parents following Islam since I attained the age of puberty. Not a day passed but the Prophet visited us, both in the mornings and evenings. My father Abii Bakr thought of building a mosque in the courtyard of his house and he did so. He used to pray and recite the Qur'an in it. The pagan women and their children used to stand by him and look at him with surprise. Abu Bakr was a Softhearted person and could not help weeping while reciting the Quran. The chiefs of the Quraish pagans became afraid of that (i.e. that their children and women might be affected by the recitation of Quran)."
According to this she had gotten her period long before she married him which was before the Hijrah
Abu Dawood Book 002, Hadith Number 0641.

Chapter : Not known.
Narated By 'Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin : The Prophet (pbuh) said: Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has reached puberty unless she wears a veil.
meaning she was already classified as a woman in her time before marrying our Prophet (s.a.w.)
