Homosexual Discussion Forumalright, im really sick of you type of Christians<ahem>...sorry to butt in...this line caught my attention: You say that they hurt because straight people won't accept them - and you say that it's a homosexuals' fault for that being the status quo Being straight, I can only make educated guesses as to how homosexuals feel - I have had plenty of gay friends, but emotional topics are not a common discussion around me, so what I've actually *heard* is very little. What I have heard is that homosexuals want to be accepted. They want to be treated the same as straight people. If that is indeed the case, and they hurt because they do not get the treatment from the public that they desire, is that really their fault? Personally, I don't think so. What I do think is that homophobes and elitists tend to enjoy seeing someone getting kicked to the curb. They like to see someone oppressed, because generally it's not them. If homosexuals were allowed to marry and adopt (or artificially inseminate for) children, they would *still* have problems with narrowminded individuals trying to prevent them from being happy - that likely won't change any time soon, simply because there are so many of the narrowminded class. Of course, that is neither here nor there - it was only the one comment that I felt warrented a reply, simply because in those two sentences you spoke volumes about what is wrong with society today... <slinks back into the corner> |
