Simple example: Just imagine you had a chance to work in a better position in another company and you were really happy by these glad news, however something happened and you were unable to join this company. I think you'll be sad. Now after a while, this company anounced its bankruptcy and it released all its employees. Now tell me what do you feel now? Really happy for not going to that company! The same is applied when you don't wanna doing something and you were really sad, then you discovered later that doing this thing have brought you happiness and joy Did you undersatnd the Qur'anic verse and the phrase you quoted?
