But much more is required in our daily living as a Christian. This is the meaning of "work out your salvation." However, not carrying out these daily requirements does not void the salvation that the Father has freely given. James is the NT version of Proverbs. It tells us how we as Christians should live. It does not teach that if we do not work then we lose our salvation, because that is a works-based salvation. Have you studied Paul? Paul teaches faith alone. It's obvious that you hold strongly to James and his "faith plus works" teaching (although I believe you are twisting it a bit). What do you do with Paul when he says that faith alone is necessary to secure salvation? As I recall, faithman said:
