I just want to clarify some things. I believe that the Catholic church as a system of teaching, or an organization, is apostate, meaning "it" is far enough away from the truth of the essentials to be considered non-truth and cannot save if taken in it's fullness as they teach it.
I believe a person who is apostate was never saved, only unmasked as a pretender.
On the other hand, I believe there are some Catholics, that in spite of this false teaching from within their camp, for many different reasons can be and are saved. Mostly due to their not fully understanding the teaching of the Catholic church. I have known Catholics who when confronted with clear quotes and Catholic writings, and shown how this conflicts with the clear meaning of scripture, would then take that to their priest or elder only to be told that "this is not what we teach". So they convince themselves that all these things being said against the Catholic church is done out of hate or jealousy when nothing could be further from the truth.
I have Catholic friends, and from what I see they are on their way out of Catholicism, they just need to do it in their own time.
I believe (in agreement with Macarthur) that the Catholic church is the single most fertile ground for evangelism today.
So, i'm sorry if I came across as a Catholic basher because i'm not. I treat people differently than I do a system of teaching like Catholism. I will always reach out to those who I believe are lost or stumbled, but never give an inch to organized religion.
So, having said that, what really concerns me is that you see nothing wrong with that prayer I posted. It is an abomination to God, believe me.
Would you be willing to hear people out and "test all things" with us?
If you truly believe that you have truth on your side, then you should have no problem with this at all. I'm not going to nail you if you are not a great theologian, we can examine these things together and if at the end we still cannot agree, then so be it. But I think some good can come out of it, so what do you say?
