Yes, I know where you are going with this. Moses (who was a prophet) was commanded to conquer Canaan and kill all the idol worshippers who had polluted the land God had promised to the Israelites. Joshua as Moses successor was the man who was supposed to do this. So, yes God judged idolaters and used Joshua as His instrument just as God judged the Jews for their idolatry and used other nations to judge them. The wars of conquest are recorded in Exodus through Joshua.
Now, let's look at 2 Chronicles 15.
2nd Chronicles 15:8-15
8 Now when Asa heard these words and the prophecy which Azariah the son of Oded the prophet spoke, he took courage and removed the abominable idols from all the land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities which he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the LORD which was in front of the porch of the LORD. 9 And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who resided with them, for many defected to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him. 10 So they assembled at Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa's reign. 11 And they sacrificed to the LORD that day 700 oxen and 7,000 sheep from the spoil they had brought. 12 And they entered into the covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and soul; 13 and whoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, man or woman. 14 Moreover, they made an oath to the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, with trumpets, and with horns. 15 And all Judah rejoiced concerning the oath, for they had sworn with their whole heart and had sought Him earnestly, and He let them find Him. So the LORD gave them rest on every side. NAS
Jews do not seek to convert anyone to their faith. Therefore verses 12-13 deals only with ethnic Jews, not aliens living among them.
Ezekiel 9:3-8
3 Then the glory of the God of Israel went up from the cherub on which it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called to the man clothed in linen at whose loins was the writing case. 4 And the LORD said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, even through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations which are being committed in its midst." 5 But to the others He said in my hearing, "Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity, and do not spare. 6 "Utterly slay old men, young men, maidens, little children, and women, but do not touch any man on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary." So they started with the elders who were before the temple. 7 And He said to them, "Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!" Thus they went out and struck down the people in the city. 8 Then it came about as they were striking and I alone was left, that I fell on my face and cried out saying, "Alas, Lord GOD! Art Thou destroying the whole remnant of Israel by pouring out Thy wrath on Jerusalem?"
NAS
Same explanation as for 2 Chronicles 15. God is judging His own, not the aliens who lived among the Jews.
Jeremiah 51 and Isaiah 13 are prophesies of the future destruction of Babylon. God inspired Babylon's enemies to war with and conquer Babylon and utterly destroy the city. Babylon's enemies were idolaters so God used idolaters to war against idolaters but did not instruct the Jews to kill anyone. Also you will not find a single New Testament Scriptures that instructs those who follow Jesus to take up the sword and act as God's instruments of judgment. In fact the opposite is true. We are told to shake the dust of any city that rejects the Gospel from our feet and just leave.
SubmitTo1God pulled verse out of context, and chose to ignore all of Exodus, Numbers, and Joshua and most of Deuteronomy and Leviticus. He also assumes that Jesus is God and therefore it was Jesus who acted as judge.
