ArchivedJudging & Testing God??Peace Omega, The word Muslim simply means one who submits to the Almighty God. All the Prophets submitted their will to the Almighty and thus they were Muslims. Islam means submission. To die submitting to God is to die in Islam, which was the state of all the Prophets. http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/ ... ritan.html http://www.islamic-awareness.org/Quran/ ... ritan.html http://bismikaallahuma.org/Quran/Commentary/q18-86.htm http://www.answering-christianity.com/n ... yology.htm You are completely taking the verse out of context. To understand the Qur’an, you also have to read the tafsir( interpretation and meaning) of the Quran. This is the verse: So when they exceeded the limits of what they were prohibited, We said to the them: “Be you monkeys, despised and rejected” ( 7:166) Now this is the tafsir: “It is a sever warning to mankind that they should not disobey what Allah commands them to do, and keep far away from what He prohibits them”( Muhsin Khan) So the verse is not implying they were literally turned into monkeys, but that it’s a plain warning for you and I, of the anger that will befall upon us if we reject the command of God. Please state them, so I can have something to work with! I am amazed at your interpretation of the Quran. None of these verses say that there will be sex in Heaven. If people want to have sex, then it’s up to God if he allows it. The verses only say : “purified mates”, which in no way indicates sex. Furthermore, the wine of heaven is unlike that of Earth, It does not intoxicate you, but it is of sweet tasting. You have to remember that the description given in the Quran in regards to heaven is in no way similar to what we have on Earth. These things mentioned in the Quran, are all things we have never seen, touched, heard, and tasted. It’s beyond our imagination! I try my best to listen to God and be obedient. However, I cannot worship and pray to a mortal who will one day return to the Earth and die. This is no God of mine. I worship the one true God, who created the heaven and the Earth, who created Jesus, and Adam, and all the other prophets and Mankind, and who we shall return one day to stand in front of Him for our Judgement. This is the God I worship. I apologize. It was immature of me. No the God of the Qur’an is not the God of the Bible. What you say of God and what we say of Him is completely different. What we mean when we say there is only one God, is that we were all created by Him, and we will all return to Him. Now the God of the Injil and the God of the Qur’an is the same God. We don’t recognise the Bible to be the word of God. However, it could contain remnants of the Injil which would explain the similarities between the Qur’an and the Bible. And Allah knows best!
