Archiveda literal hell? i found this article interestingI don't see how it doesn't. My personal experience can be no more or less worthy than yours, if we both are speaking with the authority of the Holy Spirit, meaning we both are speaking the truth, in the Spirit. So, let's make that assumption, which for me I know, and if you say it is true for you, then I will of course take that as truth, as well. From that assumption, we can only come to the understanding that there are two sides to this coin, and that would seem to follow the logical arrangement of all of creation, there being a balance of opposites. That takes us further into the realm of the mind, which is where our direction always stems from. So, with that being my conclusion, I could only say to you that while it is obvious we don't agree, since I believe fully there is no 'literal' hell in the sense man has created, just separation from God, and thus from the self, which amounts to darkness. You seem to believe otherwise, and that's your right. But as witnesses for Christ, we can only testify on that which we are witness to, and so your point is valid, just as mine is equally valid. But as far as scriptures go, I haven't found one single instance that says that the human soul will suffer torment for eternity as a result of rejecting God. That is where the final word would be found, the bible, right? That is where I make my statements from, not a need to avoid the truth of a literal hell. Literal hell is man's invention, both real and fabricated. What I mean by that, is that we can make our lives a literal hell, without God in them, this is real. Then we can put God in our lives, yet then transfer that hell of our own making into the form of a threat from God, which is our own fabrication. That is a manifestation of a faith that has not fully invested itself, because to be saved by the grace of faith takes away that fear of punishment, for one knows that their faith will guide them in the Truth. Again, Romans is my reference, the 6th chapter. Then for what purpose baptism? Acts 19:4 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 1 Peter 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: 22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. Baptism is for the purpose of conversion, which means it does make a change in us, we repent of our sins, so that we may be capable of truly believing in the Truth of Jesus Christ. I believe that faith does change how we live, but unless we are able to see clearly, through the power of the Holy Spirit, the change is not certain for the right, because it is only a guess. The Holy Spirit gives us the ability to discern, and eliminates the dangers of guessing. Everything I am speaking is totally relevant to this topic, as well as are my personal experiences. Could you please also give specific references, as I have, as to what scripture you are using to support your points, in order that I can more clearly see what you mean? |
