Archiveda literal hell? i found this article interestingFirst in regard to the copy write issue, unless our posters indicate which translation is being used then we do not have any way to know if the copy write is being violated. As to my use of the NAS, here is what the Lockman Foundation has on their site: I have express permission to quote entire chapters and books from not only the Lockman Foundation but Zondervan, and other copy write holders of material in a Bible study program I purchased. If you are cutting and pasting from an Internet site then that site will have copy write restrictions, if you are quoting from a book you own the publisher has a copy write on that book, which includes the King James. You can nit picking about what is the flip side of truth, and etc. but the fact remains baptism does not save anyone. There is a vast difference between a works based salvation and salvation based works, have you studies James? I guess you need to define “soul”, “soul is used in Scripture for “life”; all animals are living “souls”. Every human spirit is eternal, and those who obey Christ are resurrected to eternal life and those who do not obey Christ are resurrected to eternal punishment in the lake of fire. Baptism is commanded for all who have faith in Jesus Christ, not as a prerequisite to salvation but as an act of obedience to Jesus Christ performed out of love not to earn or maintain salvation. I will again point you to Cornelius being baptized by the Holy Spirit before he was baptized in water and I will add the thief on the cross and the OT saints. Salvation is by grace through faith plus nothing and is a gift of God. |
