ArchivedMistakes, and imperfections in the QuranHow can the subjects not relevant? The length of time is the explanatory of the main issue said in the verses. The main issue in the first verse is the angels and spirits ascend to Him and it is explained that in the case of ascendance of angels and spirits, a Day = our Fifty thousand years. But (the 2nd verse) in term of punishment in the Hereafter, a Day = our One thousand years. The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years: (70:4) Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But God will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. (22:47) Here is what the writer mentioned: Satan is viewed as misleading and misguiding people in Surah 4:119-120, but Allah is said to perform this in Surah 16:93. No question about 4:119-120. I am sure we both agree on the statement about satan. Now, let us look at the next verse: If God so willed, He could make you all one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions. (16:93) The verse says 1. He leaves straying whom He pleases 2. He guides whom He pleases Meaning, Allah provide us with 2 options, the good and the bad path as per illustrated above. At the end of the verse, He wants us to choose the direction, of course based on our intelligence as humans not by instinct like animals, and we will be held responsible for every action we made. As you put it earlier He can "allow evil" for His "good purpose". I believe you have to agree that God is capable of testing the iman of ummah. |
