ArchivedMistakes, and imperfections in the QuranIn terms of logic there is no contradiction, since in one God is asking us how can he have a son without a wife. The paragraph is questioning, and the answer to that question is that he can create one in his name, but he chose not to. Lets think of the concepts in our terms of which God is trying to describe to us. A son that you take trough a wife is genetically your son, since you are its genetic father, but an adopted son, and you will have to agree with me is not the same as a genetic son, and that is the objective of the Qur'an (both verses should be considered together and not compared as seperates). God has made legal for us to adopt and procreate, both of these ayat together are used to eliminate the two concepts comprehensible to a human mind in which a son can be taken, and show that in neither of these ways has God taken a son. |
