Christian/Muslim ThreadsJesus and the pagan mythsWell Kai replies: Your attempt is exaggerated since you presented basically no evidences, secondly it is highly exaggerated since you posted such a range of points without any evidences. In other words it is not my duty to prove you wrong, it is your duty to prove yourself right. H2O wrote: Kai replies: In other words: You agree that the Koran was influenced by pagan religions? As I mentioned, if Christians borrowed these sources from Mithra, Krishna, etc, there is clear evidences that the writer of the Koran inserted these elements into the Koran. Remember, according to what you have already stated, Mithra, Krishna, and all the rest of them (almost) were all born by virgins, did miracles, in some cases they were referred to as Messiah, and they promised immortality. Thus this ring a bell? In other words according to you belief, the prophet Jesus in the Koran was highly pagan. Secondly, you agree with these things, just because you went through them in St John's University? What kind of a scholar are you? Don't you think that I go through all sorts of theories in my university? Do I really need to swallow everything a scholar says? At least I have learned to question a scholars opinion, especially in the area of philosophy, science and religion, why because theories change all too frequently. Also have you never learned to make an assessment of a scholars sources to figure out and differentiate between possible theory and speculation? Do I need to continue. Basically, you are playing with your integrity here! H2O wrote:
Kai replies: Two points here: If you have only considered these concepts, then why so emphatic about their certainty? Maybe you are being biased? Did you ever consider that? Did they refer to these belief system or to the theory that they make up the Christian religion? If the second is true, then I would question the school. What I mean is, what school merely skims through such a claim on a masters level? H2O wrote: Kai replies: Point 1: other people did nothing for you, they merely provided you with a list of speculation, and no evidences. Even radical atheist's question their honesty and integrity. Point 2: you are playing with your integrity, as you have now proven to everyone in this forum, how your methods of assessing an issue takes place. Basically through plagiarism, and no consideration what so ever about their sources. Point 3: anyway all you have accomplished, say you are correct, is to confine the Koran into the same category. In other words, you merely committed religious suicide. Your conclusion is: the Koran is pagan. Point 4: are you sure that in reality you are simply not able to take up the challenge, as it virtually is impossible and merely contradicts your own belief, thus your only obtion is to evade the territory. Any other Muslim who is willing to take up the challenge? I am not trying to be rude H2O, I simply dont know any other way to reply to you on this. |
