Christian/Muslim ThreadsJesus and the pagan mythsNo I do not agree. Remember you dont beleive G-D sent propehts to all nations in the past but only to Israel, we do which can be justified by those elements that you claim to be pagan. For us all religion contain some fragement of truth that was originally revealed by G-D through the Propehts that were sent to those people. Wrong. This reflects back to what I said above. The term "Messiah" is a common title, it is not unique. Even a pagan is called messiah in your own bible. Does King Cyrus ring a bell who is procalimed as Yahweh's anointed ie messiah in hebrew ? Obviously you were mistaken. Our concept of "messiah" is contrary to yours. Jesus as taught in the Quran was a mere human being, and did miracles by the permission of G-D just like other Prophets did. He did not claim to be the son of G-D or to be divine nor was he killed or crucified. Thus is strickly contrary to your beliefs and the beliefs about other men gods in other relgions. The only parallel thing of our belief with Jesus that can be found with other relgions is about his miraculous birth. Thus again can be explained being that we believe that G-D sent Prophets to all nations in which you do not. Ehm ! You mean St Thomas University. I am well aware of what I studied and what all the religions in the world have in common with each other. Unlike ALL OF THEM, Islam is the only one that believes G-D sent Propehts to every nation of People to preach the same deen (relgious conviction) that justifiably explains within it self the existing comparison of the all the relgions. You cant explain this other than claim they borrowed from each other even though they are remote. I have already done that. My presentation is based on your beliefs not mine. At this stage we already applied our conclusion. IF you been through what I been through in school, then you would know the proffesor would ask for opinions, my opinion on this explained the crucial comparison even Justifying the issue with Jesus which was mostly the center stage of criticism. As a muslims through my 6 years in school, we defended the person of Jesus while we sat back and watched traditional Christians become Atheists and some regular Christians loose their faiths all together. Those of zeal merely discontinued to attend the class My method of aproach is based on your concepts and views. As to the issue of plagiarism what did I plagarized other than quoting from other sources who did the long painful head ache of the work? Remember I presented these statements based on your beliefs not what I think in general. Now lets say we are presented with the same by an Atheist by what we have presented to you. We would be able to rip it to shreds with no problem just like I did in school. Your running to conclusion about me, when you dont even understand our concepts. Now you are trying to think like an Atheist by applying Athiest reasoning. Your error in this is that in order to apply Ahtiest reasoning to an issue like this you would have to be acquinted with the Islamic concpet pertaining to this issue which you are not. We are not affraid to get the Quran into this, cause the Quran gives Justification in which you dont believe neither does your own book can justify from its own pages. 1) Alllaah sent Prophets all the nations of People in their own language 2) After the Prophets died the original teachings became currupted 3) The followers incorporated their own beliefs
You amaze me. The sources were shown, you claim they are exagerations, but yet how ? You disagree by mere words with no logical explanation not even making an attempt to qoute a source that may give reason. We can explain it and easily refute it to defend the person of Jesus, you cant other than saying its an exageration. |
