Science, Creation & EvolutionMorality and evolutionism
No, I don't think so. We're still discussing the relationship between evolutionism and something that has to do with morality (is it the source of morality?): religion. Correct. I'd say 'correct' , but we must add a 'but'. Perhaps I shoulds have been a bit more specific in my original reply. I pointed out before that I classify 'believe in god' as a veriation of the urge that tells us to 'follow a leader.' Animals have the urge to follow a leader (not ALL animals, but all SOCIAL animals). My starement is: Following god is a way to fulfill the urge to follow a leader. Animals 'follow a leader' but have not developed a sense of 'religion.' Animals don't NEED a sense of religion; they do not have brains that are capable of generating questions of this complexity. |
