Oh Helix
You have so much to learn.
How are you?
you have such a black-and-white point of view. You could have been robbing the store to keep your starving family from dying, or to pay for an expensive operation to save your mother's life.
First off Thou shalt no steal. I would rather go on food stamps or to food banks than steal to feed my family, What kind of example would that set for my family? How much money do you think these stores have? Have you seen the cost of an expensive operation these days?
You can't classify everyone in the world as either 'moral' or 'immoral' people
Why not? Stealing goes aginst the ten comandments. There is no reason for anyone in the US to steal for any reason. We have more social programs here than we can use.
* He grabs his spear and tries to kill the deer. That way his family can eat for a couple of days. The chance that he kills the deer are about 50%.
Why with a spear? if he is Carnivore Can't he just jump on his back and bite through it's neck? Sorry couldn't resist that one.
He calls a friend of another family, and you BOTH try to catch the deer. The chance of catching it are increased (let's say 75%). The down side is that you'll only have 1/2 a deer for your family, instead of a whole one.
What kind of cel phones did they have back then? Cro-Nokia? Couldn't resist that one either
Did god have any say in this?
In what? Altruism?
Lets see
Moses saying to the people of Isreal "If among you, one of your brothers should become poor, in any of your towns within your land that the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not harden your heart or shut your hand against your poor brother, 8but you shall open your hand to him and lend him sufficient for his need, whatever it may be. 9Take care lest there be an unworthy thought in your heart and you say, 'The seventh year, the year of release is near,' and your eye look grudgingly[a] on your poor brother, and you give him nothing, and he cry to the LORD against you, and you be guilty of sin. 10You shall give to him freely, and your heart shall not be grudging when you give to him, because for this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake. 11For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, 'You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.' Deut 15:7
